MEXICO CITY HHH’S HISTORY

We began operating on October 12, 1983 and our founders were David Lawler, a British banker, "Peso" Jim Gregory, Dave "Wrongway" Arnold (both American, also bankers) and Steve "Co-Hare!" Case, a Firestone Co. executive, from the States. Also, relevant Grand Masters, co-founders, have been Ricardo "Dr. Demento" Mayer, Pete Ramsay "O´Less Dick", (aka Prego), José "ET""Sasquash" Rodriguez, Arturo "Charro Negro" López-Portillo y Contreras, Humberto del Olmo "Elm Humper" & Pecado (his wife is a painter, if anybody is interested) and Steve Disneyland Ordal, a retired employee from the State Department and resident of Tequisquiapan, Qro. Also great former GMs have been Burnt Sox (now in DC), Flashy Beaver (now in Ottawa) and Shredder, who is currently Hashing in Tunisia. We are proud to say we hosted two InterHash events in Mexico City and Acapulco, with large participation coming from abroad. 2008:  25 Years of HHHashing!!!

Mata Hari, our own British Spy, deserves Special Recognition for taking MCHHH to Tlaxcala in October 2007 to rehearse what will be a monumental celibation to take place in 2008 when we will be 25 years old!!!     
Fame  and Glory .. cool!!                                                                                             

Sport Life magazine, published monthly by Editorial Televisa, carried a full-page article by sports reporter Alejandro Saldivar about the International Drinking Club with a Running Problem in its January 2005 issue. If you want a copy, depress above link and order it in the Contact form.  On April 23, 2004 MCH3 tasted the honey of fame and glory, thanks to the talent of a professional reporter of the Reforma Newspaper. Rodrigo F. Cervantes, was the co-editor, First Row (Primera Fila) Section. He not only reported himself dressed in shorts, tennis shoes and ran 8 kilometers with us. Our friend also enjoyed Hashers’ camaraderie, drank beer until the keg got empty. He then went back to his editorial firm and wrote two long pages –40 y 41- providing details of the Hash, photos included, inviting Mexico City to .. learn about us..

MCH3 EN LA HISTORIA

Comenzamos nuestra existencia el 12 de Octubre, 1983 y nuestros fundadores fueron David Lawler, todos Banqueros (de dinero, no de madera) Británicos "Peso" Jim Gregory, Dave "Wrongway" Arnold (ambos Americanos) y Steve "Co-Hare!" (favor de pronunciarlo en Inglés) Case, un ejecutivo de la compañía Firestone, de los E. U. A. Igualmente, Grandes Maestros relevantes y co-fundadores han sido Ricardo "Dr. Demento" Mayer, Pete Ramsay "O´Less Dick", (actualmente, Prego)", José "ET" Jiménez, quien aparece corriendo en nuestro logo, Isidoro "Sasquash" Rodriguez, Arturo "Charro Negro" López-Portillo y Contreras, Humberto del Olmo "Elm Humper" con Pecado (su esposa es pintora, por si alguien se interesa) y Steve "Disneyland" Ordal, un empleado jubilado del Departamento de Estado y residente a la fecha en Tequisquiapan, Qro. Otros GMs destacados han sido Burnt Sox y Flashy Beaver. Tenemos el orgullo de haber sido anfitriones de dos eventos Internacionales HHH en la Ciudad de México y Acapulco, con gran asistencia proveniente del extranjero. Estos eventos se llevaron a cabo el 12 de Octubre, 1986 y en la misma fecha de 1990, para conmemorar Día de la Raza.

¡¡¡24 Años del HHHash en México!!!

Los Bebedores de Cerveza con la Debilidad por Correr de México se quitan el sombrero para rendir Tributo a Mata Hari, nuestra adorada Espía Británica quien en Octubre de 2007 llevó al MCHHH a la Ciudad de Tlaxcala para practicar lo que será una celebración monumental en 2008 cuando cumpliremos nuestros primeros ¡25 años!
